ABOUT US</b></p><p>
REBUILD.US, an initiative of the Amalgamated Foundation, is a rapid response fundraising initiative that aims to direct millions of dollars to the most effective organizations on the ground in areas hit by climate change disasters.</p><p>
REBUILD.US is advancing a new model for disaster response to match our current climate reality. Launched in August 2025, REBUILD is a fundraising, grantmaking, and storytelling platform, moving funds in 48 hours of a disaster to experienced, local leaders who are in community both before the disaster strikes and long after the headlines fade.</p><p>
The underlying premise behind REBUILD is that disasters unlock an unprecedented scale of giving &ndash; but too often well-meaning donors cannot find the trusted local groups with deep knowledge of impacted communities who are best positioned to get support to the ground fast and have staying power. Instead, the flow of resources typically fails to invest in organizations that work in the community year round and largely fails to address systemic problems that are exacerbated by the climate disasters, such as housing, economic insecurity, fossil fuel pollution, extractive land and water use, broken immigration system, and voter disenfranchisement.</p><p>
This is why REBUILD invests in immediate care and relief operations that also enlist survivors of climate shocks to organize for systems change solutions throughout long-term recovery and beyond. The successful pilot of this work was designed and developed at Organizing Resilience across 17 disasters with 85 local organizations.<br>
<br>
The <b>Digital Operations Manager</b> is a new role. The ideal candidate is a proactive, energetic, self-starter who brings their technical skills as well as a creative approach to digital fundraising and marketing. The candidate will be well versed in &ldquo;lean start up&rdquo; practices and incredibly disciplined about testing in order to scale. The Manager must be passionate about building the back-end infrastructure to maximize growth and learning while bringing deep technical skills, a detail oriented approach to data, and a rapid-response approach to all digital fundraising. This ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a rapid response environment, has incredibly strong technical proficiency, and enjoys the creation of smooth and dependable processes.</p><div><b>
RESPONSIBILITIES</b></div><div>
Broadly this role will work closely with the Senior Director to help execute the efficient and most effective programs to grow the digital fundraising program, especially during rapid response moments of climate disasters. This will include rigorous testing of traditional email, SMS and paid digital ads and influencer marketing &ndash; along with exploration of new tactics and strategies.</div><ul><li>
In conjunction with the Senior Director, plan, write, and schedule emails and SMS for the digital fundraising program, including high-impact campaigns, acquisition, cultivation, retention, and upgrade strategies.</li><li>
Develop &amp; execute distinct email &amp; SMS strategies 1) during rapid response and 2) during &ldquo;blue sky&rdquo; periods outside of disasters.</li></ul><div>
Manage the REBUILD.US website and donation pages, including:</div><ul><li>
Ensure all pages and donation forms are updated and tested to optimize content and donor conversion.</li><li>
Own the full oversight and analytics of the donor file&rdquo; &ndash; as the donor file grows, analyze donor data to define key audience segments, developing distinct personas for each and tailoring communications to these segments.</li><li>
Oversee and execute payment processing and donation page creation &ndash; especially during rapid response &ndash; and other digital/technical needs supporting digital fundraising.</li><li>
Manage and administer the technology for all online and marketing accounts and profiles and ensure they adhere to internal cyber security standards.</li></ul><div><br>
Facilitate team members, community, and vendors in various ways, including:</div><ul><li>
Support the creation, design, edit and distribution of all donor marketing materials, such video content, social content, SEO/website pages, social media toolkits, creative for ads etc.</li><li>
Oversee timely reporting and data management systems, ensuring they are supporting the growth of the online programs.</li><li>
Responsible for the day-to-day management of consultants to ensure timely deliverables.</li><li>
Build relationships and the REBUILD.US brand with online donors through strategic updates, asks and cultivation.</li><li>
Build and maintain deep relationships with allies and partner organizations to activate in key moments.</li><li>
Other duties as needed.</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Minimum of 4- 6 years of experience in non-profit, campaign, or disaster relief online/digital fundraising or marketing with rapid-response experience strongly preferred.</li><li>
Ability to thrive joyfully in a rapid response environment.</li><li>
Proven experience with online and email marketing including writing, testing and analyzing results.</li><li>
Extreme attention to detail in a must.</li><li>
Experience building new processes, procedures, and systems.</li><li>
Ability to build deep and trusted relationships with external stakeholders including peer organizations.</li><li>
Experience in content-driven fundraising including storytelling, brand voice, and authentic narratives.</li><li>
Strong personal, organizational, program, and time management skills; research and writing skills; and strong interpersonal communications skills.</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in CRM and email marketing platforms (e.g., EveryAction, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp). Must have a proven ability to segment, analyze, and interpret donor data to drive strategic decisions.</li><li>
Must bring a collaborative, self-starting, proactive approach.</li><li>
Is both goal and detail-oriented, with an entrepreneurial and innovative drive and spirit.</li><li>
Is proficient in all relevant online and social media platforms.</li><li>
Travel is required up to 15% for this position.</li></ul><p><b>
Salary, Benefits, Location, and Eligibility</b></p><ul><li>
$80,000 - 100,000 annually, commensurate to experience.</li><li>
