<ul><li>To provide system engineering and design support services to Project Managers to ensure the timely delivery of all projects within the stipulated timeframe, quality and budget requirements. </li><li>To provide system design & engineering support through the preparation of system documentation & drawings, maintenance procedures etc. </li><li>Responsible for the on site supervision and implementation of the construction of an electronic security system </li><li>Under the direction of the assigned Project manager, be responsible for the effective delivery of Electronic Security Systems Projects, including resources, scheduling, procurement, and implementation of complete systems. </li><li>Carry out security surveys and audits of premises and systems, identify and quantify shortcomings, make recommendations etc. </li><li>Provide written reports, test procedures etc, conduct field testing and commissioning of complete systems. </li><li>In conjunction with the relevant Line Managers, ensure ESS deliverables for each project are clearly defined and understood, and within required contractual timelines. </li><li>To carry out the design and implementation of security designs, in accordance with relevant statutes and codes and to do so in accordance with industry best practice and the Company Quality Assurance Systems and HSE Systems. </li><li>To maintain at all times client confidentiality and act with discretion and a high level of personal integrity. </li><li>To support Electronic Security Systems in any other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected. Ensuring that the correct permits (i.e. permit to dig) are in place prior to work commencing </li><li>Communicate effectively and efficiently with the Project Director and Manager to anticipate needs and advise as required </li><li>Develop, execute and maintain environmental safety plans as required. </li><li>To deliver effective commissioning of systems to quality requirements and support in handover to maintenance team</li></ul>

Project Engineer (Electronic Security Systems)

<ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability through strategic component selection and system architecture.</li><li>Conduct thorough site surveys and risk assessments to determine optimal camera placement, coverage, and system configuration, considering environmental factors and security needs.</li><li>Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues in CCTV systems, including cameras, recording devices, network infrastructure, and related peripherals, employing diagnostic tools and analytical skills.</li><li>Configure and manage network video recorders (NVRs), video management systems (VMS), and related software, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with security protocols.</li><li>Perform regular preventative maintenance and calibration of CCTV equipment, including camera alignment, lens adjustments, and system health checks, to ensure continuous operation.</li><li>Develop and update technical documentation, including system diagrams, installation manuals, and maintenance procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and efficient troubleshooting.</li><li>Collaborate with security teams, IT departments, and other stakeholders to integrate CCTV systems with access control, intrusion detection, and other security technologies, enhancing overall security posture.</li><li>Stay abreast of the latest CCTV technologies, industry trends, and security standards, identifying opportunities for system upgrades and improvements.</li><li>Provide technical training and support to end-users and other technicians on CCTV system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, fostering user proficiency and system utilization.</li><li>Manage CCTV system projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.</li></ul>
