This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients while advancing your clinical skills.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine medical conditions, utilizing medical terminology and diagnostic tools such as medical imaging.</li><li>Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices in general medicine and specialized fields like pediatrics, oral surgery, or prosthodontics as needed.</li><li>Perform medical procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other interventions requiring aseptic technique and infection control protocols.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and legal standards.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including dental professionals for integrated treatment approaches.</li><li>Educate patients on health management, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness.</li><li>Stay current with advancements in medical and dental terminology, procedures, and technology such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix software systems for efficient record-keeping and patient management.</li><li>Ensure adherence to all safety protocols related to infection control, medical imaging, anatomy knowledge, and dental fabrication processes.</li><li>Participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical skills in areas like endodontics, pediatrics, or oral surgery.</li><li>Uphold the highest standards of patient care by demonstrating excellent communication skills and empathy during all interactions.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid medical license with current certification to practice as a Physician within the relevant jurisdiction.</li><li>Proven experience working in a dental or medical clinic environment with familiarity using dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, general dentistry procedures, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery techniques including dental extractions and root canal therapy.</li><li>Proficiency in interpreting medical imaging and understanding anatomy relevant to dental and general health conditions.</li><li>Experience performing procedures requiring aseptic technique and infection control measures.</li><li>Ability to accurately document medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance.</li><li>Excellent patient care skills with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics.</li><li>Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clear explanation of treatment options to patients.</li><li>Knowledge of prosthodontics procedures and dental fabrication processes is a plus.</li><li>Prior experience working with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Dentrix is preferred.</li><li>Commitment to ongoing education in areas like endodontics or oral surgery to stay current with evolving practices.
