KYZEN is seeking a motivated Applications Lab Technician to join our Application Lab team at our global headquarters in Nashville, TN. This position is ideal for an individual eager to engage in hands-on learning while supporting innovation in a high-tech environment.In this position, you will play an essential role in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cleaning equipment. You will conduct cleaning evaluation tests based on specified parameters and verify the accuracy of reported results based on sample inspection.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Performing cleaning evaluations, including sample preparation and inspection.</li><li>Analyze results from cleaning evaluations and document findings.</li><li>Write clear and detailed technical reports based on evaluation outcomes.</li><li>Support the global sales team by providing technical expertise during customer interactions.</li><li>Maintaining general lab cleanliness and routine equipment and instrument maintenance.</li><li>Continuously learn about industry trends, technologies, and customer needs to stay up to date.</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS <ul><li>General mechanical knowledge and curiosity with a willingness to use common tools.</li><li>Familiarity with laboratory tests, terminology, and common analytical equipment.</li><li>Ability to handle samples and laboratory equipment while keeping records of all data and reporting.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Self-motivated problem solver who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</li></ul>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS <ul><li>Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.</li><li>At least 4 years of experience in a related field.</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS <ul><li>Ability to work with chemicals using proper safety precautions.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods.</li><li>Work with 55-gal drums weighing ~500lbs using a drum dolly, and pails weighing ~50lbs.</li></ul>COMPENSATION At KYZEN, we encourage career development and seek ways to provide you with opportunities for growth and variety in your work.
