Job Overview Lavoie Law is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter for an in person, full-time legal assistant position in our Social Security department. This position is challenging and extremely rewarding. Our office is conveniently located in the Warwick Executive Park, with ample free parking. Legal experience, especially in Social Security matters, is preferred but not required. Benefits and salary are negotiable. The position requires high level multitasking, attention to detail, prioritizing and effective time management. The optimum candidate is a motivated individual who works well independently but thrives as a member of a dynamic team.Duties<ul><li>Assisting our clients through the Social Security Disability process at all levels</li><li>Telephone contact with clients</li><li>Filing electronic Social Security applications/appeals</li><li>Medical record requests and follow up</li><li>Extensive contact with Social Security staff</li><li>Preparing cases for hearing and further appeals</li></ul>Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li></ul>Work Location: In person
