This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for supporting adults with developmental disabilities, and the ability to maintain a safe, caring, and well-organized home environment.Position: Part-Time House SupervisorKey ResponsibilitiesHome Operations<ul><li>Oversee the daily functioning of the group home to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure completion of household duties, including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and home maintenance.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain compliance with licensing standards and all SFS policies and procedures.</li></ul>Staff Support &amp; Leadership<ul><li>Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with managing schedules, shift coverage, and training new staff.</li></ul><ul><li>Respond to call-outs, staffing emergencies, and urgent issues when on-call.</li></ul>Resident Care &amp; Support<ul><li>Support residents with daily living skills, medication administration, personal care, and individualized needs.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure all supports follow each resident&rsquo;s Person-Centered Support Plan.</li></ul><ul><li>Promote a positive, respectful, and empowering environment for all residents.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Communication<ul><li>Complete accurate and timely documentation including incident reports, daily logs, and medication records.</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, families, and healthcare providers.</li></ul><ul><li>Relay important updates during shift transitions to ensure continuity of care.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>GED or High School Diploma required.</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience in a group home or similar setting.</li></ul><ul><li>Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).</li></ul><ul><li>Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.</li></ul><ul><li>Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.</li></ul><ul><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to assist residents with mobility needs (training provided).</li></ul>Why Join Supportive Family Services?<ul><li>Competitive pay: $20&ndash;$25/hr based on experience</li></ul><ul><li>Supportive, professional team environment</li></ul><ul><li>Flexible part-time scheduling</li></ul><ul><li>Paid training</li></ul><ul><li>Opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day</li></ul>Shift Availability<ul><li>Evening or overnight shifts preferred when on-call</li></ul><ul><li>Weekend and Holidays availability and pay is a plus</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 16 &ndash; 30 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Paid holidays</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chester, VA 23831
