Life is a journey! After 20 years in academia, I left my comfort zone to embark on a path that is more aligned with my true calling. I am prepared to face the expected uncertainties and ups-and-downs with patience and hard work. I provide consultancy to small businesses and large organizations in the areas of marketing, marketing strategy, and tourism marketing. I understand the nature of small businesses and that they need a dynamic and practical marketing, as opposed to textbook or formal marketing. My recommendations are based on careful analysis and rich discussions with the owners/management. In addition to consultancy, I'm also exploring training in the areas of education, marketing, and tourism. I give training workshops/courses and also manage training projects for my clients. Apart from the above two paths, I'm also passionate about writing. I have two blogs; one in Arabic covering reflection and mindfulness topics and one in English covering mobile computing topics. I have published my first (Arabic) book - Taamualt (Reflections) - in the summer of 2021. Its mission is to instill the spirit of deeper reflection and mindfulness in life through long and short articles that are easy to read and deep in meaning. Life is a journey! Leaving academia was a tough decision, but the adventure ahead is worth it!

With over thirty years of multi-disciplinary experience, Dr Ali Qassim Jawad is a recognized expert in public sector transformation, having led national policies and strategic programmes at the institutional and national levels in the Middle East. Appointed by a Royal Decree, Dr Jawad is the President of the Royal Academy of Management, a new established institution operating under the honorary patronage of His Majesty the Sultan of Oman. Mohab Ali Talib Al-Hinai is a highly accomplished innovator, entrepreneur, and trendsetter with a passion for sustainability. With over two decades of experience in technology and innovation, he currently holds the position of Vice President of Sustainability and Circular Economy at the Oman Environmental Services Holding Company "be'ah", a sovereign wealth fund-owned company. He is also a co-founder of Sustainable Investments LLC, an Omani firm that aims to promote sustainable development and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in Oman and the MENA region through sustainable investing and ESG advisory services. Dr. Al-Hinai's journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Sultan Qaboos University, where he also worked as a faculty member. He went on to earn a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware. During his graduate studies, he developed a genetics tool that has been widely used by researchers, including those at the joint science & technology office of the U.S. army, and was awarded a patent for the production of commodity chemicals by industrial bacteria. With over a decade of experience in academia, Dr. Al-Hinai made a successful transition to industry and is now leading multiple initiatives aimed at transforming Oman into a more sustainable and circular economy.
