It was now my personal mission to practice at the park everyday from 4pm to 6pm, till it was time to play again. Although there were some days when my efforts felt worthless, I followed my schedule like clockwork. Two weeks passed by before we gathered at the court again. I still recall my friends' reaction as their jaws dropped, watching me make 8 consecutive three pointers. That feeling of accomplishment and self-achievement, as minor as it may seem, is a memory I still hold dearly to this day. It birthed the competitor in me and made me realize that with hard work and commitment, the sky is the limit. I carry this mindset through my professional career as well as I tend to continuously challenge myself and reach new professional and personal highs. It has enabled me to tackle work-related issues with a certain confidence, as I remind myself that nothing is impossible. It drives me to stay determined and constantly break new boundaries to be the best version of myself. Basketball has also instilled within me, the value of teamwork and trust, which I believe translates just as well in a professional environment.
