Involved in the govt sector for preparing the documents for the approval and releases as par the govt norms. 3. Involved in the Liquid Waste Management separately for grey water management in the field visits and learned the techniques like soak pit, magic pit, constructed wetland and inline treatment processes. 4. Involved in the field visit related to Black water management and learned some new technologies like open trenching method, co-treatment with nearby urban STP and Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant. 5. Worked in STP's and ETP process with maintenance 6. Worked for project in the field for wastewater quantity measurement by the instrument like velocity current meter, Pygmy meter, V notch method, Float method and population method. 7. Conducted some wastewater parameter quality analysis such as pH, Conductivity, BOD, COD, Turbidity, Total Hardness, TDS, TSS, Nitrate. 8. Involved with basic works like Baseline data collection for the EIA process such as Air quality monitoring by RDS and FPS System, water quality monitoring, ground water quality monitoring for knowing the drinking water condition. I am making a change. It all started back in my last year of undergraduation at VIT University, Vellore where I was pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. I was reading, hearing and seeing about the waste management problems which had an adverse impact on the environment. This interest led me into doing a project on Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC), which used benthic soil to produce small voltages. Then, I thought to myself, why not search for options that could put my B.Tech knowledge to good use for Environmental protection. This drive landed me at NIT Tiruchirappalli’s M.Tech Environmental Engineering course. During my post-graduation, I underwent a training programme on water treatment processes and SCADA system at Kerala Water Authority, Aruvikkara, Thiruvananthapuram. I furthered my interest into biological treatment of wastewater and did my final year project on biological treatment of cassava starch wastewater along with recovery of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), a biopolymer used in the synthesis of bioplastic. Now, I am an Environmental Engineer at Enviro Control Pvt. Ltd. where I handle the following responsibilities: • Monitoring overall Process set up of Sewage Treatment Plants during the commissioning and O&M period of the STPs. • Process Design analysis and site application for smooth transition of the facility from the commissioning to O&M phase. • Critical analysis of performance monitoring of UASB reactors, IFAS tanks, SBR tanks, MBBR tanks. • Reviewing the lab analyses for performance monitoring of the Sewage Treatment Plants. • Research, review and publication of papers on Treatment technologies and cost impact for the Organisation. • Educating the site engineers about the latest sewage treatment technologies and processes through power point presentations. I was also hugely involved in the publishing of Company Guide Book that was launched during the 40th year anniversary of the Company by the Former Executive Director ( Reliance Industries Ltd.), Late Mr. Hardev Singh Kohli held on 14th December 2019. It seemed exciting and educative given my zeal for researching subjects and a good command over English language. I find myself to be a dynamic and enthusiastic professional with a passion towards knowing, understanding and sharing ideas. I believe that great ideas are born when great minds come together in a healthy environment. Besides environment, I love painting, playing badminton, animals and reading.
