I started my professional career at Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore as a hospital engineer way back in 1986, it was new experience for an engineer working at hospital, but what I had learned and developed my expertise really helped in my later professional life. The experience gained from US really paid off and I feel that my strong communication skills are due to my twelve years of time at US. In 2003, I made big decision and moved to Pakistan, and feel lucky that I joined Higher Education Commission under the supervision of Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Dr. Sohail Naqvi, Dr. Laghari, Dr Raza, and Dr. Qureshi. It was an enormous challenge to deliver in Pakistani system, where systems and procedures are established but hardly perceive proper implementation. Almost served ten years at HEC, and this decade of my life between the age (40-50) brought remarkable changes. Now I feel that I learned more at HEC as compare to 12 years of experience at US. The basic reason, I had been given empowerment, authority and in return I delivered and proved myself as a strong team player. It was difficult decision to leave HEC. Now I am at ICT R&D Funds, new challenges, Life should go on but with some well-defined purpose.
