Moreover, I specialize in amplifying these perspectives into policy solutions that are more sustainable since they arise from first-hand experiences of the affected communities. I have a proven track record of critically investigating under-researched - but important - PCVE/CT topics. In the past, I have - researched the impact of Pakistani education on youth’s social cohesion in the crucial Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province, discovering ‘educated’ youngsters to be more radicalized than the unschooled ones who have received little exposure to extremist ideas through curricula. - conducted in-depth interviews with Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Pakistan’s ex-FATA, revealing the key factors that enable the operations of international criminal-terrorist organizations in this Afghanistan-adjoining strategic Pashtun region. - comprehensively analyzed Islamist terrorism and misogyny - with the spirit of my alma mater LSE’s motto: “to know the causes of things”. Following my researches on South Asian transnational terrorist and insurgent groups, I have been invited to participate in international CT conferences in Europe, and my proposed strategies incorporated in the final policy reports disseminated to high-level decision makers in the US, Europe, Central Asia, and Afghanistan. I have also been awarded an official commendation in London following my contributions to PCVE/CT by the National Coordinator for ‘Prevent’, UK.
