I'm working journalist with almost 32 years print media experience. I'm also writer,compiler, editor, content writer and translator of books and articles. I started work from daily Mashriq, then daily Pakistan, daily sadaqat, daily jang, MIT technology Pakistan as translator and currently working in Daily Nawa-e-Waqt as In-charge Monitoring Desk. I am a professional journalist with more than two decades of experience across all forms of media, including print, broadcast, and digital. I have been an integral part of the core teams that successfully launched and managed three major channels in Pakistan: Express News, Dunya News, and 92 News HD. In my role as Controller News at 92 News HD, I utilized virtual production techniques to enhance storytelling and helped elevate the channel to new heights. In my previous roles, I served as News Head at Dunya News, Newsroom Head at Express News, News Editor for The Nation's Karachi edition, and City Editor at Daily Times. Throughout my career, I have led teams from the front and rapidly advanced to senior positions. With the shift in content consumption towards digital and social media, I founded a startup in 2020 with the aim of developing cost-effective and indigenous digital media tools for Pakistan's broadcast and digital media industry. I consider the following to be the highlights of my professional career spanning over two decades:  Design and delivery of training courses and workshops on Budget Understanding and Analysis/ Tracking and Gender Responsive Budgeting since 2002.  Preparation of District Layyah’s Shadow Budget FY 2018-19, the first initiative of its kind at the district level in Pakistan, after a detailed consultation process involving local stakeholders.  Coverage of Pakistan’s federal budget and provincial budgets for, and contribution of articles and op-ed pieces on budget-related topics to, major Pakistani English newspapers and websites.  Design and delivery of training courses on Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation, besides managing a resource centre on alternate peace movements, since 2000.  Translation of four books (a play, a novel, a collection of short stories and an anthology of essays on nuclear peace) and a large number of short stories and poems from English into Urdu.  Publication of more than 50 books/reports in English and Urdu as editor/writer/researcher.  Coordination of more than a dozen international, regional and national conferences and summits.  Participation in the US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program in 2005.

As a development and communication professional, I have over 23 years of program/project management, communication and editorial experience. I have managed and implemented the program/communication components of health, education and business development projects in various contexts and have experience of working with World Health Organization, Government of the Punjab, UNICEF, USAID, AUSAID and World Bank projects as well as leading media organizations of the country.
