The Field Inspector contractor supports construction projects by monitoring daily site activities and verifying that work meets project specifications and quality expectations. This role involves performing site inspections, documenting field conditions, communicating progress updates, and coordinating with the project management team as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and job site safety practices
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to use basic technology tools such as email, digital forms, and photo documentation
  • Organized, self-directed, and able to manage time efficiently
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

Scope of Work / Responsibilities:

  • Availability needed Monday through Friday to align with team operations
  • Visit assigned job sites to observe and document construction progress and conditions
  • Maintain detailed field notes and take photos for reporting purposes
  • Submit daily progress updates, noting any observed issues, delays, or deviations from project plans
  • Confirm that work performed aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality expectations
  • Communicate findings and updates to the project management team
  • Assist in identifying and communicating field-related challenges or potential solutions
  • Maintain organized inspection reports and documentation
  • Participate in project meetings when requested to share field insights

Physical Expectations:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, including on uneven terrain
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Occasionally may need to lift or carry up to 25 lbs
