2D Animator

This is a full-time, office-based position for a 2D Animator at Astrik. As a 2D Animator, you will be responsible for creating engaging two-dimensional animations for commercials, explainer videos, web content, and TV shows. You'll work closely with directors, illustrators, and scriptwriters to transform ideas into dynamic animated sequences using both traditional and digital animation techniques.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in 2D animation software such as Adobe Animate, MOHO PRO, or After Effects

• Strong understanding of classical animation principles including squash and stretch, timing, and anticipation

• Excellent drawing and illustration abilities

• Strong visual storytelling skills and a creative eye for composition and movement

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and take feedback constructively

• Knowledge of the animation pipeline from concept to final output

As a 2D Animator, you’ll be expected to bring characters, scenes, and narratives to life through frame-by-frame animation. Your role is essential in maintaining the visual consistency and emotional tone of each project, and your animations will play a central role in captivating the audience.

Requirements:

• Create smooth and expressive 2D animations for a variety of media

• Animate characters, environments, and effects based on scripts and storyboards

• Collaborate with other animators and departments to ensure consistency and high-quality output

• Use industry-standard tools to design and animate visuals that align with project direction

• Maintain strong attention to detail while working under deadlines

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a 2D Animator

• Portfolio demonstrating a wide range of 2D animation styles and techniques

• Degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Digital Media, or a related field
