3D Modeler

This is a full-time, office-based position for a 3D Modeler at Astrik. As a 3D Modeler, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate 3D models of characters, props, environments, and other elements used in animations, video games, films, advertising, and virtual reality content. You’ll work in collaboration with animators, texture artists, and other production team members to ensure models are functional, optimized, and visually aligned with the project vision.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Blender, Autodesk Maya, or ZBrush

• Strong grasp of human and animal anatomy, hard surface modeling, and environmental design

• Experience in both low-poly and high-poly modeling for various production pipelines

• Understanding of UV mapping and texture layout workflows

• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable receiving feedback and implementing revisions

• Team player with effective communication and collaboration skills

As a 3D Modeler, your role is crucial to laying the foundation for animation and visual storytelling. You’ll translate concept art or design briefs into production-ready 3D assets that meet both artistic direction and technical specifications. Your work helps set the visual tone and functionality of the final animated product.

Requirements:

• Create high-quality 3D models from scratch based on concept art or references

• Optimize models for real-time rendering or high-resolution outputs

• Collaborate with animators, riggers, and texture artists to ensure compatibility across departments

• Participate in regular review meetings with leads and directors to refine outputs

• Maintain consistency in design and performance throughout the production pipeline

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in 3D modeling

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of modeling styles and techniques

• Degree in 3D design, digital arts, game design, or a related field
