3K Teacher – The Learning Experience Hudson Yards

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Pay: $25–$28 per hour (based on credentials and experience)

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 3K Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team. Our 3K classroom provides a fun, nurturing, and hands-on environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, and academic development through play-based learning and exploration.

We are proud to partner with New York City’s 3-K for All initiative, serving children ages 3–4 in alignment with DOE and DOHMH standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a warm, engaging classroom where children develop confidence, curiosity, and school readiness skills.
• Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Creative Curriculum and NYC DOE 3-K learning standards.
• Support children’s social-emotional growth through positive guidance and individualized attention.
• Build strong relationships with families through ongoing communication and progress updates.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to maintain DOE compliance, classroom documentation, and safety standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications (Per NYC Requirements)

• Must meet NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) Group Teacher qualifications, which include one of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and coursework in early childhood, OR
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and two years of classroom experience, OR
• CDA (Child Development Associate) credential and three years of experience working with preschool-age children.
• NY State Teaching Certification in Birth–Grade 2 or currently enrolled in a study plan toward certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of classroom teaching experience required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must meet all NYC DOHMH licensing requirements for a Group Teacher.
