Job Description

At this incredibly exciting stage of our business, having grown our revenue over 70% in the last year, we are looking for an HR Lead to oversee our Karachi office and be responsible for all people-related matters in Karachi. 
 

The successful candidate will be a well-rounded HR leader who brings a proven track record of success in leading the HR function within high-growth businesses, delivering against ambitious KPIs. They will be excited by the opportunity to support and accelerate the growth of Get Licensed as we double our team size over the few years, comfortable managing an HR and recruitment team, and ready to get their hands dirty working all aspects of HR as required.
 

Responsibilities

The HR Lead’s responsibilities include managing and iterating HR processes to ensure Get Licensed is the best possible place to work, from recruitment, onboarding, day-to-day management, quarterly appraisals, delivering feedback, promoting career development, and facilitating continuous learning training. Our internal people mission is to provide joy, knowledge, and prosperity for our team members, and it is the role of the HR Manager to lead on this mission.

 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for the whole recruitment process, driving initiatives to become a top 10 employer in both Karachi and the UK 
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
  • Manage your team of HR experts and recruiters
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program, measure their effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Own employee satisfaction, training and development
  • Be responsible for the overall performance appraisal process 
  • Manage internal communication projects
  • Help create the optimum organisation structure as we scale
  • Reporting to the UK management team on the health of the Karachi office
  • Constantly strive to make Get Licensed the best possible place to work, and continually nurture a safe, healthy and positive working environment
     

Requirements

  • Degree in HR or HR-related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in an HR function
  • Proven prior experience in HR Leadership roles
  • Experience with HR tools and systems 
  • Entrepreneurial and curious, abreast of the latest HR news, legal aspects, and thinking
  • Driven, hardworking and motivated self-starter who can work independently with little structure
  • Good problem-solver and methodical creative thinker
  • Flexible, able to embrace change, good at multitasking, meet deadlines
  • Take ownership and responsibility for issues
  • Positive attitude, straight-talking, great interpersonal skills, and a high level of empathy

  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Prior experience working with remote teams
  • Experience of org design and scaling teams quickly
