Job Description

• You will provide technical leadership and mentoring within our mobile team, designing, implementing, testing, and documenting solutions to help the team achieve its goal.
• You will actively develop and supervise the development of the mobile application code base utilizing React Native and Native mobile application code where appropriate.
• You will own the solutions design of Oware’s mobile application features
• You will assist the team in implementing and monitoring engineering standards.
• You will participate in Scrum meetings, Retrospectives and engage in Agile processes and Test Driven Development.
• With the team, you'll bring these solutions to life, writing high-quality code utilizing test-driven development, continuous integration, and code review (GitHub)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience with writing high-quality React Native applications.
• A strong understanding of mobile architectural practices.
• Proficiency with writing automated tests in JUnit, Espresso, MockK / XCTest / Jest.
• Experience working with native mobile application technologies like Java/Kotlin/Objective-C/Swift.
• Have experience with best-in-class client-side data design and management, whether that’s experience with GraphQL/Apollo or other such tools
• An understanding of Relational Databases and NoSQL Databases
• Experience working with Cloud computing providers like AWS.
• Have the ability to operate in an often ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
• You are a good team player, ready to help, debate, compromise, and work together.
• Have a passion for good design and attention to detail. You’ll collaborate with designers but undoubtedly have the opportunity to express your own design sense if desired.
