Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules
- Conduct material and labor take-offs and cost analyses
- Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor and control project costs, including tracking and reporting on cost variations
- Prepare and submit progress claims and invoices
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress and quality of work
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to project costs
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
- Solid understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in using computer software such as MS Excel and cost estimating software
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
