Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. The role involves leading a team, ensuring the implementation and optimization of the company’s accounting systems, and providing accurate financial data for audits and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in leading accounting teams, developing and implementing accounting systems, and have strong expertise in financial audits, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
Key Responsibilities:
•Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the accounts team, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure the team meets financial deadlines and goals.
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Accounting System Development & Implementation:
- Design, implement, and manage the company’s accounting systems and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Review existing financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and streamline workflows.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in the accounting system.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow by tracking payments and collections.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients to ensure smooth transaction handling.
Auditing & Compliance:
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained for audit purposes.
- Prepare necessary documentation for audit reviews and provide insights into areas of risk and compliance improvement.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations for business decision-making.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Work closely with senior management to prepare and manage the company’s financial budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor expenditures, identify variances, and provide solutions to manage financial risks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional accounting certification preferred).
- Proven experience in a team lead role within an accounting department, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in developing and implementing accounting systems and processes.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, particularly in accounts payable and receivable.
- Experience with financial audits, both internal and external.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
