
Job Overview:
A Specialist Endodontist with DHA experience is a highly trained dental professional who specializes in diagnosing and treating issues related to the tooth pulp, root canals, and surrounding tissues. This role involves performing advanced endodontic treatments, including root canal therapy, retreatments, and endodontic surgeries, while adhering to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations. The Specialist Endodontist will have significant experience working in Dubai, with a solid understanding of DHA protocols and the high standards of care required in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Evaluate and diagnose complex endodontic issues, including tooth infections, trauma, and pulp diseases. Develop customized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs.
Root Canal Therapy: Perform routine and complex root canal treatments for patients, including single and multi-canal procedures, utilizing advanced techniques to ensure successful outcomes.
Endodontic Surgery: Conduct surgical procedures such as apicoectomies, root-end resections, and regenerative treatments for cases that cannot be treated through conventional root canal therapy.
Microsurgical Endodontics: Utilize modern technology such as operating microscopes and digital radiography to perform precise treatments, enhancing the success rate of difficult cases.
Collaboration with Other Specialists: Work closely with general dentists, oral surgeons, and other specialists to provide comprehensive treatment plans for patients requiring multidisciplinary care.
Patient Care and Education: Ensure clear and effective communication with patients about their diagnosis, treatment options, and the expected outcomes. Provide post-treatment care instructions and monitor the healing process.
DHA Compliance: Stay updated on DHA regulations, ensuring that all treatments and patient care are in compliance with local healthcare standards. This includes maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to Dubai’s healthcare practices.
Continuous Learning: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in endodontics, including new technologies, treatment protocols, and materials, to ensure the highest level of care.
Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate patient records, documenting treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
Endodontic Specialization: Completion of an accredited postgraduate program in Endodontics, with advanced training in root canal therapy, endodontic surgery, and complex procedures.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Specialist Endodontist, with significant experience working in Dubai or a similar healthcare environment.
DHA License/Experience: A valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license to practice as a Specialist Endodontist in Dubai, or eligibility to obtain DHA licensure. Strong knowledge of DHA healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
Board Certification: Certification by the American Board of Endodontics or other equivalent certification (depending on location) is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced endodontic techniques, including root canal treatments, surgery, and microsurgery. Familiarity with modern dental technologies such as digital imaging, CBCT, and endodontic microscopes.
Preferred Skills:
Expertise in handling complex, difficult cases, including re-treatment and surgical procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively with other dental specialists, particularly in multidisciplinary treatment settings.
Excellent communication skills for patient education, providing clear explanations of treatment procedures, and answering questions to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with a diverse patient population, including international patients in Dubai.
Work Environment:
