Job Summary

• Serve overall as ‘Head of Supervision’ to monitor various construction sites and may serve as a Resident Engineer / Project Manager on one of the site according to the workload distribution at any given period.
• Project Management in terms of resource planning & scheduling.
• Contract(s) Administration and implementation of various versions of FIDIC Conditions of Contracts.
• Review tender documents and give advice on technical & documental flaws.
• Liaise with the client(s) and make necessary action to solve issues pertaining to client’s requirements.
• Liaison with local authorities and attend to necessary technical meetings with authorities.
• Traveling to the various sites to monitor physical inspections and site surveys.
• Knowledge and compliance of updated authority regulations, relevant standards & codes.
• Engineering advice to assist in solving problems in collaboration with other Resident Engineers, Site Engineers, Project Coordinators and relevant team members.
• Attends meetings, writes MOM, resolves design or construction problems, meets with contractors, sub-consultants, clients and relevant officials as to when required.
• Ensure that projects are built in accordance with agreed plans, standards and within budget.
• Reviews specifications of design & construction contracts.
• Monitor progress on site(s), ensure conformance to plans, specifications & construction safety standards.
• Determine the resources (time, staff, equipment, etc) required and its allocation to complete the project.
• Establish a communication schedule to update all the relevant parties (in-house/outhouse) for progress.
• Support in preparing tender applications, presentations & negotiations with contractors (If required).
• Prepare & maintain project documents like correspondence, minutes of the meeting, notes etc.
• Ensure the lessons learned from past situations are recorded for future references while facing known or unknown scenarios while dealing with authorities at the construction stage.
• Evaluation of project scope of works and assist in the preparation of proposals.
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities in collaboration with HR Manager, Various Leads, Project Manager or Management.
• Support Human Resources Manager in technical interviews of supervision department resources.
• Keep on learning skills as per modern practices in the relevant field and share knowledge with the team.
