We are seeking a Foreman-Level Mechanical Engineer with hands-on expertise in structural modifications, chassis integration, and precision engineering for a custom automotive project. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a Senior Denter and be skilled in supervising mechanics, ensuring quality control, and overseeing structural modifications to guarantee proper vehicle body integration and load distribution.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Workshop Supervision – Lead and oversee mechanics performing body and chassis modifications.
✔ Precision Measurement & Alignment – Ensure accurate wheelbase and structural alignment.
✔ Chassis & Body Integration – Guide mechanics in correct attachment and bonding techniques.
✔ Structural Bonding & Riveting – Ensure proper use of self-piercing rivets, adhesives, and corrosion protection.
✔ Quality Control & Compliance – Inspect work to ensure adherence to engineering and safety standards.
✔ Technical Interpretation – Read and interpret CAD drawings and technical sketches for workshop execution.
✔ Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting – Identify and resolve structural integration challenges.
✔ Tool & Material Management – Ensure availability and proper use of equipment and materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications

✔ Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
✔ 3+ years of experience in automotive structural modifications, welding, or fabrication.
✔ Previous experience as a Senior Denter with expertise in denting, bodywork, and frame restoration.
✔ Strong leadership skills with experience supervising mechanics.
✔ Knowledge of aluminum-to-steel bonding, riveting, and corrosion prevention.
✔ Proficiency in using measurement tools (calipers, laser alignment, and geometric dimensioning).
✔ Hands-on experience with chassis modifications, body mounting, and reinforcement techniques.
✔ Ability to interpret technical drawings and provide clear instructions to mechanics.
✔ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in structural modifications.

Preferred Experience

✔ Experience in automotive body integration, restoration, or chassis reinforcement.
✔ Familiarity with structural adhesives (e.g., 3M 08115, Lord Fusor 112B) and self-piercing rivets (SPR Stanley Avdel®).
✔ Ability to create and implement bracket solutions for frame-body mounting.
