Responsibilities

Are you a social media mastermind who knows how to spark conversations, build communities, and drive real impact? We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to take our brand to new heights across the UAE/MENA region.

In this role, you’ll craft and execute bold social media strategies that boost brand awareness, engagement, lead generation and conversions. Leading a dynamic team of analysts, videographers, and creatives, you’ll ensure our content is not only high-quality but also culturally relevant and trend-setting.

Role:

1. Strategic Leadership & Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Capital.com's overall marketing objectives for the UAE/MENA region.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices within the financial services industry in the region.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to the Head of Marketing.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent brand tone of voice and messaging across all social media platforms, ensuring alignment with Capital.com's global brand guidelines and regional nuances.
  • Develop and manage the social media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
  • Implement a crisis communication plan for social media, ensuring timely and effective responses to any negative sentiment or issues.

2. Content Creation & Management:

  • Oversee the creation of engaging and relevant content across various social media platforms, including text, animations, images, videos, and interactive content.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive social media calendar, ensuring consistent posting schedules and timely delivery of content.
  • Lead the production of high-quality video content, working closely with videographers and creative resources to ensure impactful storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media content with broader marketing initiatives and brand campaigns.
  • Ensure all content is culturally relevant and compliant with local regulations and sensitivities within the UAE/MENA region.
  • Explore and implement innovative social media formats and features to enhance engagement and reach.

3. Team Management & Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of social media analysts, videographers, and creative resources, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Provide regular feedback and performance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and professional development.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new team members as needed, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure efficient workflow management.
  • Build a positive team morale and promote a culture of creativity and innovation.

4. Community Management & Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to build and engage a strong online community across social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Identify and engage with key influencers and thought leaders in the financial services industry within the region.
  • Run social media contests, giveaways, and other interactive campaigns to drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Analyze community feedback and sentiment to identify areas for improvement and inform future content and strategies.

5. Analytics & Reporting:

  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track and measure the performance of social media campaigns and initiatives.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards, providing insights into key metrics and trends.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the Head of Marketing and other stakeholders to improve conversions and engagement.
  • Stay up to date on the latest social media analytics tools and techniques.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a proven track record of success in the UAE/MENA region.
    • Strong understanding of the financial services industry and the online trading landscape.
    • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms relevant to the region.
    • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of social media professionals.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience in using social media analytics tools.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred.
    • Knowledge of local cultural nuances and sensitivities within the UAE/MENA region.
    • Experience in social media advertising and paid social campaigns.
    • Experience with content creation tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software).

    Desired Skills:

    • Strong understanding of SEO and SEM principles.
    • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.
    • Knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency markets.
    • Existing network of relevant influencers and media contacts in the region.

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Passionate about testing all elements from fonts, captions to thumbnails for optimisation
    • Creative thinker who pushes boundaries
    • Business level proficiency in English or above (equivalent to B2 or above in CEFR)
