Beaconhouse National University (BNU) is looking for a dynamic and competent resource as AV Lab Advisor for its Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts & Design (MDSVAD).
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized University with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Candidate must have know-how of maintenance and upgrades of MAC operating software & stills and video-editing software.
Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent would be primarily responsible for:
- Handling of photography and video equipment
- Assistance in students and faculty projects
- Maintenance of digital archive of student work.
- Experience creating digital audio and video media on a Macintosh platform and knowledge about scanners, digital video cameras, iMovie, Final Cut Pro and Photoshop is expected.
Roles:
The job role includes:
- Mentor students who are making work in video and need (conceptual and technical) guidance. Students will be accommodated on walk-in basis or through faculty referrals.
- Coordinate with HoDs and major studio advisors to extend complete AV advisory for their students working with New Media.
- Facilitate faculty in courses hosted by AV Lab
- Troubleshoot matters for students using AV Lab facilities.
- Ensure that the lab is equipped with the necessary digital tools (computers, printers, cameras, etc) by foreseeing the needs and demands of AV Lab.
- Implement and maintain all procedures for AV studios and AV Lab
- Supervise all tasks assigned to the AV Lab Assistant and AV Lab Attendant
- Actively coordinate with Administration Department for all matters regarding AV Lab
- Supervise a team formed for the coverage of SVAD events (photos and videos).
- Carry out any other duties and tasks that may be assigned by the Dean MDSVAD, or Head of Department from time to time.
