Job Description:

We are seeking a Construction Site Storekeeper to join our team and help manage materials and inventory on our active construction sites. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of construction materials, tools, and safety regulations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all construction materials and equipment are readily available and properly stored to keep the project on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of all materials, tools, and equipment used on the site.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder materials when necessary to avoid delays.
• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring the correct quantity and condition of materials.
• Safely store materials in the designated areas, ensuring easy access when needed.
• Issue materials and tools to workers based on project requirements, keeping track of all items issued and returned.
• Keep detailed records of stock movements, including deliveries, usage, and returns.
• Provide regular reports to the project manager or site supervisor about material usage, stock levels, and any discrepancies.
• Ensure all materials and equipment are stored in accordance with safety protocols and guidelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Storekeeper in the construction industry or related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software or basic computer systems.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members.
• Understanding of safety procedures and best practices on construction sites.
