
Job Summary:
The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Projects Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of MEP systems in various construction projects. This role involves planning, scheduling, and overseeing the execution of MEP tasks, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget constraints. The MEP Projects Coordinator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Ensure that all project-related tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
- Prepare and distribute project reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation.
- Facilitate effective communication between project team members and stakeholders.
- Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor resource utilization and ensure optimal use of resources.
- Assist in resolving any resource-related issues or conflicts.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and track project risks and issues, and escalate them as needed.
- Assist in the implementation of risk management plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular project audits and reviews.
- Schedule and organize project meetings, workshops, and other events.
- Prepare agendas, presentations, and other materials for project meetings.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to project management, as needed.
Qualifications and Experience and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP coordination or a similar role in the construction industry.
Proven experience in managing MEP systems for large-scale construction projects.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
