Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team for a substation project in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and scheduling for electrical infrastructure projects, particularly within the substation and power transmission sector, and must have prior consultancy experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project) for substation works including civil, structural, and electrical components.
• Monitor project progress against the approved baseline and provide periodic updates and reports to the project team and management.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Identify delays and propose corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules, S-curves, resource histograms, and other planning documents.
• Attend project meetings, review progress, and highlight planning-related issues.
• Assist in claims and extension of time (EOT) analysis, if required.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, contract terms, and client requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in planning/scheduling roles, with at least 2+ years in substation or power infrastructure projects.
• Consultancy experience is mandatory.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and planning principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
• Able to join immediately or on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of DEWA, SEWA, or ADDC standards and documentation.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Experience in preparing and evaluating project claims or variations.
