Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer with a strong background in subcontractor management to support our project execution by ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, and collaborating closely with engineering, project management, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with company procurement policies.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), analyze bids, and conduct cost evaluations.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers to secure optimal pricing and timelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand technical requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare subcontract agreements and ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and conduct regular progress reviews.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services in line with project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and update procurement databases and tracking systems.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements in procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Ensure alignment with company standards, safety regulations, and quality expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in procurement engineering, preferably in construction
  • Proven experience in subcontractor sourcing, evaluation, and management.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings, specifications, and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Project).
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards (e.g., FIDIC, ISO, local labor laws) is a plus.
