Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Proofreader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, exceptional command of written English, and a minimum of one year of experience in editing, proofreading, and content management. Key Responsibilities:

• Proofreading and Editing: Perform meticulous proofreading tasks, ensuring accuracy in punctuation, grammar, syntax, and style according to client guidelines. Correct any factual, grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors.
• Client Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of client-specific guidelines and preferences to become the go-to resource for maintaining the integrity of the client’s brand.
• Content Review: Scrutinize content to eliminate repetition and unnecessary elaboration, ensuring clarity and conciseness.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers to verify that author suggestions are correctly integrated and that the text is presented in the desired format.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with the editor and editorial assistant to enhance formatting elements, including heading styles, figure and illustration captions, and hyphenation.
• Draft Revisions: Review drafts to ensure all author corrections and editor feedback have been accurately implemented.
• Documentation Management: Maintain records of authors’ legal registrations, including contracts and copyright documents.
• Task Oversight: Ensure that all tasks assigned to composers and designers are completed effectively.
• Prioritization: Efficiently manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in editing, proofreading, or content management.
• Strong academic reading and writing skills.
• Expertise in research referencing methods and styles.
• Proven ability to handle complex, fast-tracked campaigns with efficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Korangi before starting work.

Pay: From Rs50,000.00 per month
