Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Strategy – Collections & Recovery to lead the strategic direction of collections and recovery functions across Retail, SME, and Corporate portfolios. The ideal candidate will focus on minimizing credit losses, optimizing portfolio performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving digital transformation initiatives within the collections space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive collections and recovery strategy aligned with the bank’s risk appetite, business goals, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze delinquency trends, customer behavior, and segment risks to design tailored collection strategies.
• Lead the adoption of analytics, AI/ML models, and digital platforms for optimized collections and predictive recovery solutions.
• Monitor KPIs and collection performance metrics; drive initiatives to close gaps and enhance recovery rates across early, mid, and late-stage collections.
• Manage strategies for hard collections, write-offs, and recovery through legal channels, agencies, and asset sales.
• Oversee third-party agencies, legal partners, and asset reconstruction firms ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and customer fairness principles in all collection activities.
• Collaborate closely with Risk, Credit, Operations, Legal, and Business teams to align on recovery strategies and execution plans.
• Perform any additional tasks or projects assigned by senior leadership.

Experience & Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in banking/financial institutions, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Collections/Recovery Strategy or Risk Management.
