
Key Responsibilities:
1. Character Design
o Develop original anime-style character concepts (heroes, villains, side characters).
o Create model sheets, expression charts, and turnarounds.
o Design detailed costumes, accessories, and alternate forms (e.g., transformations, power-ups).
2. Environment & World-Building Art
o Illustrate futuristic cities, battle arenas, sci-fi landscapes, and fantasy realms.
o Ensure consistency in color palettes and lighting across different settings.
3. Storyboard & Scene Sketching
o Collaborate with the scriptwriting team to convert scenes into visual storyboard panels.
o Draw dynamic action frames, camera angles, and scene transitions.
4. Character Poses & Action Frames
o Create high-energy poses and combat sequences.
o Illustrate fluid motion for key fight moments.
5. Style Consistency
o Match the visual language of anime, including facial features, dramatic shading, and stylized movements.
o Follow the series' visual identity and adhere to art direction guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or similar.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating anime-style artwork.
- Experience in character design, scene composition, and visual storytelling.
- Familiarity with mood boarding, thumbnail sketching, and turnarounds.
- Understanding of lighting, anatomy, and perspective in anime art.
- Ability to handle feedback and adjust designs accordingly.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with writers, animators, and directors.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in animation or frame-by-frame motion sketching
- Familiarity with 2D animation pipelines
- Knowledge of Japanese anime culture or language
- Ability to animate short loops or GIFs
