2D Illustrator

This is a full-time, office-based position for a 2D Illustrator at Astrik. As a 2D Illustrator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality illustrations for animation, branding, games, and digital media. You'll collaborate with animators, designers, and creative leads to visually bring concepts to life, ensuring your artwork aligns with the overall tone and aesthetic of each project.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in 2D illustration tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Clip Studio Paint

• Strong drawing and composition skills, with a deep understanding of color theory, design principles, and lighting

• Ability to adapt your style to suit different genres, tones, and project directions

• Knowledge of character design, background art, and prop creation

• Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback and revisions

• Experience in developing visual assets for animation pipelines is a plus

As a 2D Illustrator, your creative flair will drive the visual storytelling of our projects. Whether it’s developing engaging character concepts, immersive environments, or expressive storyboard frames, your illustrations will be the visual backbone of our creative output. You will work closely with the animation team to ensure that your designs translate seamlessly into motion.

Requirements:

• Create visually appealing 2D illustrations for characters, settings, and props

• Collaborate with animators and art directors to maintain consistency in the overall visual style

• Produce concept art and storyboards that clearly communicate the visual intent of a project

• Revise illustrations based on client and internal feedback

• Maintain deadlines without compromising artistic quality

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a 2D Illustrator

• A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of styles and concepts

• Degree in Illustration, Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field
