Job Description

Job Title: Manager Investment and Strategies

Location: Karachi

Education & Experience

  • MBA in with specialization in Finance, Business Management.
  • 5 years in business strategy drafting & planning, preferably in Financial/Investment/Advisory sector.
  • Hands-on experience with strategy making, objective setting, analytics and associated IT tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Planning: Develop corporate plans, collaborate with senior leadership to create comprehensive strategies that are aligned with the organizational mission, vision, and objectives.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and provide insights to inform senior management for alignment of corporate planning decisions. Analyze competitors' strengths, weaknesses, and strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Cost Benefit Analysis: Develop business cases to support new initiatives, investments, or projects, through cost-benefit analyses and ROI calculations.
  • Planning and Analytics: Develop financial models, forecasts, and carryout analytics to support business planning decisions.
  • Operational Planning: Collaborate with functional leaders to develop functional plans and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Strategy:

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine strategic plans, aligning with corporate objectives.
  • Strategy Implementation: Support the implementation of strategic plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Strategic Analysis: Conduct strategic analyses, such as SWOT analyses, to identify opportunities, threats, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret large data for informed business decision making.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance.
  • Building Insights: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership and functional teams.
  • Reporting: Update and present insights through stakeholder friendly reports.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and build trust with organizational leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset for using data to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and propose solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically, and align strategy with corporate objectives.
  • Excellent project management skills to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of systems and proficiency in associated IT tools.

Tools and Technologies

  • Data Analytics Tools: Proficiency in data analytics tools, such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Financial Modeling Tools: Familiarity with financial modeling tools, such as Excel, Financial Modeling etc.
  • Strategy and Planning Tools: Knowledge of strategy and planning tools, such as Balanced Scorecard & SWOT analysis etc.
  • Expert in documentation, including process maps, business cases
