Job Title: Switchgear Testing and Commissioning Technician

Salary: QAR 2,500 - QAR 3,000 depending on experience, Accommodation and transportation provided by the company
Working Days: 6 days a week (Saturday to Thursday)
Working Hours: 8 hours per day (Overtime will be applicable after 8hrs)
Our client, a leader in providing innovative and reliable switchgear solutions for diverse industries, is seeking highly skilled and experienced Switchgear Testing and Commissioning Technicians to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in India and 5 years of experience in the GCC region, with a strong background in electrical systems and testing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work independently and contribute to exciting projects within the electrical engineering field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently test 11kV switchgear panels and protection relays and generate comprehensive reports.
- Use and maintain various testing kits/equipment effectively.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of protection relays, circuit breakers, current transformers, and their functions.
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on low and medium switchgear, transformers, and battery chargers.
- Generate detailed technical reports based on testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering (BE Electrical).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in India.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the GCC region.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of testing kits/equipment for electrical systems.
- Proficient understanding of protection relays, circuit breakers, current transformers, and their applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on low and medium voltage systems.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Driving License: Valid Gulf Driving License (KSA, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain).

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of work quality.
