Job Description

Job Summary:

The Authorities Liaison Engineer is responsible for coordinating with local, regional, and national regulatory authorities to obtain all necessary permits, NOCs, and approvals required for the timely execution of engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects. This role ensures all documentation and designs are compliant with applicable regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and government bodies, utility providers, and other statutory authorities.
  • Coordinate the submission, follow-up, and acquisition of all required permits, licenses, and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
  • Review project documentation (drawings, reports, designs) to ensure compliance with authority regulations.
  • Assist design and construction teams in understanding and integrating authority requirements into plans and execution.
  • Track progress of all approval processes to avoid project delays.
  • Attend meetings with authorities and stakeholders to address queries, provide technical clarifications, and support approvals.
  • Maintain a database of relevant laws, codes, and standards applicable to the project.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Report regularly to management on the status of all approvals and highlight critical issues.
  • Support during inspections or audits by authorities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field.
  • Experience: 5–10 years in a similar role within construction, infrastructure, or real estate projects.
  • Knowledge:
  • Regulatory frameworks (e.g., municipal codes, environmental laws, utility regulations)
  • Local authority procedures and documentation standards
  • Project documentation and technical drawings
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to interpret and explain technical details to non-technical officials
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and document control software

Preferred:

  • Experience working with authorities such as [e.g., DM, RERA, DEWA, SEWA, RTA, etc. – customize based on region
  • Multilingual ability, especially local language proficiency, is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
