Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cash Purchaser to join our procurement team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing fresh and frozen food items essential for our catering operations. This role requires daily market visits, price negotiations, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase fresh produce, frozen goods, and other food items as per daily requirements.
• Ensure the quality and freshness of all procured items.
• Negotiate prices with vendors to obtain the best deals without compromising on quality.
• Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Maintain a list of reliable suppliers and explore new sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Avoid overstocking or stockouts by aligning purchases with consumption patterns.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Submit daily reports detailing purchases, expenses, and any discrepancies.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company standards and health regulations.
• Report any issues related to product quality or supplier reliability to the management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within the catering or hospitality industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to assess product quality effectively.
• Familiarity with local markets and suppliers.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work in various market environments and handle physical tasks related to procurement.
