Job Title: MEP Cost Control Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP works, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain project budgets in coordination with project managers and engineers.
• Review tender documents, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and contracts to ensure cost accuracy.
• Track project expenditures against approved budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze cost variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare regular cost reports (weekly/monthly) for management and stakeholders.
• Assist in procurement processes, including subcontractor evaluations and material cost comparisons.
• Review supplier/subcontractor invoices and ensure alignment with contract terms.
• Negotiate cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Evaluate and process change orders, assessing their financial impact.
• Identify potential cost risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Recommend alternative materials or methods to reduce expenses while maintaining quality.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients on cost-related matters.
• Attend project meetings to provide cost updates and forecasts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in MEP cost control, estimation, or quantity surveying within construction mainly in HIGH RISE BUILDINGS.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED50,000.00 per month
