Job Responsibilities:
- Dispense medicines accurately as per doctor’s prescription.
- Verify prescriptions and ensure no dosage or drug interaction issues.
- Guide patients on how to use medicines properly and safely.
- Keep records of controlled substances as per law.
- Maintain inventory and make sure medicines are in stock and not expired.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines (temperature, safety, etc.).
- Assist in audits and follow health & safety standards.
- Coordinate with doctors and staff when required for patient care.
- Help in training junior pharmacy staff if needed.
- Stay updated with drug knowledge and pharmacy regulations.
Qualification and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- 2 to 3 years of Experience is required
- Valid license/registration with the Pharmacy Council is required
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations
- Familiarity with inventory management and pharmacy software systems
- Knowledge of local laws regarding controlled substances and prescription handling
- Good communication skills for patient counseling and interdepartmental coordination
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in dispensing medication
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow health & safety standards
- Basic training or willingness to train junior staff
