Planning Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar
Contract Duration: 6–12 months (initially 6 months, extendable)

Join Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mechanical project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
• Interpret mechanical engineering documents (P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings) to support planning
• Monitor project progress, conduct critical path analysis, and manage resource allocation
• Identify schedule risks and propose corrective measures
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align planning activities
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports, schedule forecasts, and variance analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical planning engineering, ideally within EPC or oil & gas sectors
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and MS Office
• Strong analytical and communication skills in English
• Immediate availability
• Experience in Ras Laffan or similar industrial settings is advantageous
