Expected Hiring Range: $400k - $550k annually depending on production
The Endodontist is a dental specialist who supports Willamette Dental Group's evidence based treatment philosophy, mission, vision and core values by diagnosing and treating dental pulp and the etiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the dental pulp along with associated root structures and surrounding bony defects.
Essential Position Functions:
- Embody Willamette Dental Group's treatment philosophy, mission and values and ensure they are portrayed throughout the practice.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and serve as a resource for other practitioners in the company regarding management of complex patients.
- Review patients' medical history, current medications, existing conditions, previous dental work, vital signs, and informed consent forms as needed.
- Diagnose patients' dental needs and create individualized treatment plans.
- Work in collaboration with general dentists and other specialists as needed.
- Educate patients (and their parents) on their diagnosis to ensure acceptance and confidence in their treatment.
- Provide endodontic therapies and surgical treatment while meeting the standard of care as defined by the American Association of Endodontists.
- Provide treatments that address damage to the tooth pulp as well as the tissue and nerves within and bone surrounding the root of a tooth that have become damaged or infected.
- Complete progress notes, ensuring that they are clear, accurate and comprehensive.
- Strict adherence to Willamette Dental Group's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policy. This includes but is not limited to the use of N95 respirators and other PPE as required by regulatory bodies and company policy.
Education and Experience:
- Degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), and successful completion of a post-doctoral residency program in area of specialty program and valid licensure in the specific state(s) where practicing. 5 or more years' experience performing Endodontics strongly preferred.
Licenses, Certificates and Registrations:
- License as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and DEA registration.
Compensation
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.

Physical Requirements
The work is primarily performed while sitting and/or standing, but will require occasional walking, bending, stooping and carrying light items such as papers, books, or other supplies. The incumbent uses a computer and other standard office equipment to complete tasks.
