Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Generator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel generator sets powered by Perkins, Cummins, Kirloskar, and Mahindra engines. This role requires strong technical knowledge in diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel generators and related components, including engines, alternators, and control panels.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure generator reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot engine issues and resolve faults in electrical systems, fuel injection systems, and cooling components.
• Conduct load testing to verify generator performance and compliance with operational standards.
• Replace or repair key components such as injectors, turbochargers, radiators, starters, and alternators.
• Calibrate and adjust engine parameters in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately.
• Maintain clear documentation of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Coordinate with the procurement team for required spare parts and consumables.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and attend on-site service calls when required.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and company policies during service activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel generator maintenance and repair.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Proficient with generator brands such as Perkins, Cummins, Kirloskar, and Mahindra.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools including Diagnostic Scanners, Multimeters, and Load Banks.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Familiar with DSE (Deep Sea Electronics), ComAp, and Woodward generator control panels (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of fuel, lubrication, and cooling systems.
• Safety: Understanding of workplace safety standards in generator operations.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication and the ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel to client sites for on-site servicing and repairs.
• Physically fit and capable of handling mechanical tasks and moderate lifting.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency breakdowns.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred, not mandatory).

Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR2,300.00 per month
