Job Summary
Handling of Multi-utility Infrastructure Projects /EPC basis – from system, planning and Engineering to final installation, testing, commissioning, start up, put into service and post project maintenance. Post order to final commissioning and getting taking over certificate. Coordination with/between project manpower, sub-contractors and agencies involved in the projects. Meeting Project Milestones – completion of project on time.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Studies and understands project scope of work.
- Develops and manages cash flow budget of the assigned project and achieving stand – alone financial sustainability during project execution to meet project gross profit, direct and indirect flows.
- Technical oversight of design staff and team members for infrastructure projects including but not limited to power gids, water, drain, and sewer systems, telecommunication networks, landscape and road construction.
- Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, and dratis very complex professional service agreements, arranging for their review and execution by the direct supervisor.
- Directs project team compliance with contract terms, monitors subcontractors' progress, performance and compliance with contractual commitments; participates in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project performance, administration, and other liability issues; reviews and approves design subcontractor and vendor invoices, and resolves payment disputes.
- Develops, communicates and manages project quality assurance, administrative procedures, communication guidelines, project deliverable formats and specifications, and progress reporting requirements.
- Monitors schedules, billings, and reports; ensures appropriate charging of man-hours, costs, and expenses to projects; assists in obtaining payment from clients; resolve client disputes and adjusts billing records as required; communicates project progress/status to senior management and alerts them of project production, quality control or financial performance problems.
- Participates in project evaluation, design subcontractor selection, and in the preparation of the Company's qualification/experience statements.
- Coordinates communications between internal and external associates and client, and between the firm and regulatory agencies. Maintains frequent contact with clients and regulatory agency personnel to determine their respective needs and requirements, and serves as expert witness at project hearings and judicial proceedings if necessary.
- Completes post order of assigned project till Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC).
- Manages and directs necessary drawings and submitals as per the contract and follow up till getting approvals.
- Coordinates with clients, authorities and agencies for necessary clearances and work permits required, if any.
- Plans for resources for site activities – within in-house resources or through subcontracting.
- Selects subcontractors, finalizes scopes and prices, and freezes the scope (if needed) in consultation with Contracts, Supply Chain, and the direct supervisor.
- Coordinates with clients and subcontractors and ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Maintains highest standard levels for quality and safety and Makes sure that they are strictly followed at site without any deviation to ensure customer satisfaction and company image.
- Makes a bar chart of all activities with time schedule till final project execution.
- Follows up with suppliers for timely delivery and coordinate for inspection, logistics, and after-sales service (if needed) accordingly.
- Sets up site and arranging resources for each site activity.
- Supervises all site activities and coordination with clients and subcontractors.
- Raises progressive invoices on time and follows up till collection.
- Monitors and reports the financial status of the project to the direct supervisor.
- Successful and timely execution of projects.
- Coaches, Trains and motivates operation engineers and preparing them for handling the job independently.
- Performs such other duties as the direct supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Gets FAC.
- Make sure that, the project and all employees in the project are following Organization Rules and Values.
Requirements
Essential:
- Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- 10-12 years of experience in in project execution/management with at least 3 years proven track record experience in a similar role ideally within one of the leading Infrastructure Companies.
- PMP or Project Management related Certification.
- Good knowledge of Primavera Project Management.
- Fully understand the aspects of project and construction management of complex infrastructure projects.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and business intelligence skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to manage multiple projects adhering to logistics, timescales and deadlines.
- IT literate – MS Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English language.
Desirable:
- Experience of using ERP D 365 to fetch business information is an asset.
- MBA Degree is an asset.
- Proficiency in Arabic language.
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment is an asset.
