Job Description

Job Summary : A Road Freight Operations Executive manages and coordinates all aspects of road freight activities, including domestic and cross-border trucking, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations while maintaining high service standards. This role involves planning, executing, and optimizing road freight operations, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations.


Accountabilities:


Freight Forwarding Operations:

  • Managing and coordinating all aspects of road freight activities, including domestic and cross-border trucking, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.


Customer Communication and Documentation:

  • Establishing communication with customers, gathering necessary information, and verifying documentation for smooth pickup and delivery.


Arranging Collections and Deliveries:

  • Coordinating with clients, drivers, and other parties to arrange collection schedules, ensure timely dispatch, and manage deliveries.


Document Processing:

  • Preparing and processing necessary documents, such as Bill of Entry and manifest, ensuring compliance with regulations.


Shipment Tracking and Reporting:

  • Collecting and documenting shipment details, including weight, dimensions, and packaging, and reporting relevant information to clients and stakeholders.


Cost Control:

  • Identifying and implementing strategies for cost-effective procurement of transportation services and managing costs effectively while maintaining service quality.


Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensuring adherence to transportation regulations, safety protocols, and company standards.


Process Improvement:

  • Identifying areas for improvement in operational processes, implementing innovative solutions, and driving efficiency gains.


Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Providing guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Understanding of road freight operations and logistics:

  • Knowledge of key elements of road freight operations, including regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.


Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating transportation activities.
