Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic 7th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to inspire students in their literacy journey and foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. In this role, you will design engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, cultivate a supportive classroom environment, and nurture each student’s unique talents. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, creative writing, and literacy education strategies.
- Utilize instructional design techniques and learning technology tools to create interactive and effective learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide timely feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom behavior with effective classroom management techniques, fostering a positive and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Mentor and support students individually or in small groups, offering tutoring and academic advising tailored to their needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and school initiatives to enhance overall educational quality.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid teaching certification/license for middle school English Language Arts or equivalent credentials.
- Proven classroom experience working with middle school students in diverse educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and classroom management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and literacy assessment tools.
- Experience working with learning technology platforms and digital resources to enhance instruction.
- Knowledge of creative writing techniques, journalism standards (AP style), proofreading, copy editing, and research methodologies.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,977.53 - $68,618.09 per year
