Job Description: Academic Mentor

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Academic Mentor to join our team in Kozhikode. In this role, you will play a key part in guiding students throughout their academic journey, supporting their personal growth, and fostering strong partnerships with teachers, parents, and the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities Student Mentorship & Development

• Build supportive and trusting relationships with a designated group of students, offering mentorship and personalized guidance to help them reach academic and personal milestones.
• Plan and coordinate student activities, clubs, and enrichment programs that contribute to holistic development.
• Address student concerns, conflicts, and minor behavioral issues in collaboration with teachers and counselors.

Academic Progress Monitoring

• Regularly track students’ academic performance, attendance, and overall engagement.
• Conduct informal assessments to evaluate learning progress and understanding of the curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers and counselors to design and implement individualized academic support or intervention plans for students who need additional guidance.

Parent/Guardian Communication

• Maintain consistent and clear communication with parents/guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and development.
• Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings to review progress, establish goals, and identify improvement strategies.
• Address parental concerns promptly and provide recommendations to support learning at home.

Data Management & Reporting (MIS)

• Maintain accurate, confidential student records, including grades, attendance, assessments, and behavioral notes.
• Use MIS tools and educational software to generate reports, analyze performance data, and support internal reviews and decision-making.

Qualifications & SkillsRequired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with students and parents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English and the local language is an added advantage.
