Description


As an Account Executive, Strategic Accounts, North America at ScorePlay, you will help accelerate our growth with leagues, competitions, and major sports organizations across the United States and Canada. You’ll support the expansion of ScorePlay in the region by owning the sales cycle for enterprise-level contracts ($200K+), showcasing how ScorePlay transforms media management for rights holders and sports properties.

You will manage the full sales process, from pipeline generation through closing, while working closely with our Senior AE for Strategic Accounts, as well as the Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams, to ensure a seamless customer journey.
This role is crafted for a driven sales professional with experience in SaaS or the sports industry, who thrives in a fast-paced, ambitious startup environment and excels at building relationships across the sports ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the full sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close — for deals from $200K to seven-figure range.
  • Deliver compelling demos and product presentations tailored to leagues, competitions, and sports organizations.
  • Develop persuasive proposals and RFP responses that align with client needs and ScorePlay’s value proposition.
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with regional and national leagues, competitions, and rights holders across North America.
  • Execute targeted outreach strategies leveraging prospecting, industry networks, inbound lead conversion, and referrals.
  • Qualify, prioritize, and manage opportunities to maintain a robust and predictable pipeline.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation efforts for the North American market.
  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders across leagues, competitions, and governing bodies to support long-term retention and upsell.
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure seamless onboarding and a smooth transition post-sale.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their workflows, challenges, and growth priorities — identifying expansion opportunities where relevant.
  • Represent ScorePlay at key sports industry events, conferences, and showcases to elevate visibility within the North American ecosystem.

Qualifications


  • 3-5 years in Enterprise B2B Sales, ideally within sports, media, or technology.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strategic and results-driven mindset, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple opportunities independently.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

This position is in-person in our New York City office, with regular travel to client sites and industry events.

Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $130,000
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $160,000 – $180,000
  • Uncapped Commission: Earn beyond your OTE - no ceiling on commissions.
