Job Description:

Sumato Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the IT sector. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing necessary financial data and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Maintain and improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the IT sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Excel, MS World.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.
• Knowledge of ERP systems will be an advantage.
