The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the convention center, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily sales reports, event revenue, and expenses.
  • Manage petty cash, vendor payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor event budgets and ensure all costs are properly recorded and allocated.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and relevant financial regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Events and Operations teams to track event-related income and expenses.
  • Support annual audits by providing required documentation and reports.
  • Suggest improvements to financial processes for efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of accounting experience (hospitality or events industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
