Location: Dubai, UAE

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of UAE taxation, VAT (FTA), Dubai Customs import/export procedures, and Shipping & Logistics operations. The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end accounting while ensuring full compliance with UAE laws and international trade processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations including entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and closing.
• Handle VAT (FTA) registration, filing, returns, and audits in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE tax laws and accounting standards.
• Manage Dubai Customs documentation for import & export shipments.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents for customs clearance, duty, and VAT payments.
• Monitor and record logistics, shipping, and freight costs accurately.
• Process invoices related to shipping, logistics, customs duties, and clearance charges.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and cash flow.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage company banking transactions.
• Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.
• Assist management with budgets, forecasts, and cost control.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience as an Accountant.
• Strong hands-on experience in VAT (FTA), UAE taxation, and compliance.
• Practical experience with Dubai Customs import & export procedures.
• Proven knowledge of Shipping & Logistics accounting operations.
• Good understanding of UAE Commercial & Tax Laws.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
